Our History
The Industrial Group is a manufacturing group by birth representing a qualitative shift at a time in the Arabian Peninsula when manufacturing as a sector was just evolving and when private enterprise was purely driven by commerce and trade. This gives The Industrial Group the right to be viewed as the pioneer in the manufacturing sector in the region. At that time the company emerged as a result of the vision of our founder who recognized Packaging represented a fundamental segment to every consumer. By being the first to enter this exciting field, we have introduced packaging solutions to customers of all backgrounds and needs who experienced a quality of life shift in how they package and store their daily household goods. The Industrial Group made an informed commitment early on to provide packaging solutions that are environmentally friendly and we have adhered to that philosophy by continuously offering paper packaging in all of its forms through our brand naturepak®. Over the years our packaging solutions have created a value proposition in appeal, durability and ease of use for a wide range of products serving a multitude of customers. In keeping with our history of pioneering initiatives and building on our commitment to the business-to-business sector, we have kept our focus on providing performance and application driven products. Our start-up in the Specialty Chemicals sector was the first adhesives technologies operation in the region. Through this technology based sector, innovation and research and development became the center of our vision for growth. Today we are represented in this sector by our Ashwa® brand with its stringent measures for quality. A leap forward within our Specialty Chemicals Division, was our acquisition of a leading Construction Chemicals manufacturer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to give The Industrial Group a leading role in the growing construction, maintenance and repair sectors. The acquisition of SAAF® was a milestone achievement and represented a strategic fit with our Adhesives Technologies Division. Front and center to our strategy is a growth agenda based on delivering value at both ends of the spectrum. Our Food Flavors Division is built on our value chain of quality, high-end, business-to-business sector products where the market potential for unlimited growth is consistent with our parameters for sustainability with a diverse and expansive consumer base. Through our Lazeez® brand of food flavors, we enable our customers to satisfy the palates of consumers of all ages.
